A positive mindset around aging! Ambassador Annelise Hagen shows us how.

We are proud to have Annelise Hagen as one of our Ambassadors. She has an amazing view of life and of aging. As we head into 2022 we need a positive mindset around aging and realise how truly amazing us women are, no matter what age we are currently in.

Take a couple of minutes to listen to Annalise and her powerful wisdom when it comes to positive aging. Be ready to be inspired!

"Hi, I'm Annalise Hagen. I'm the yoga face. What does positive aging mean to me? It means not being afraid to be who I authentically am or to show my power. We've been brainwashed to fear aging, to think that we're going to lose our power and our relevance."

When in fact, it's the other way around. The longer I'm on this planet, the more experience I have and the more I have to share, and you kind of learn to not sweat the small stuff. I don't want to be 18 anymore. That was a really challenging time. I know myself so much better now, and I've learned a lot of lessons and I'm really happy to embrace and step into this role of being a leader and an educator and sharing what I know with the younger generation.

I feel like if you observe nature, it's cyclical and yes, there is death, but there's also rebirth. I've also heard menopause called the second spring. So I think behind every turn of the wheel, the cyclical wheel of nature is another birth.

As we get older, we learn to be non-attached to things that maybe drove us nuts when we were younger, because we have that experience. So I just feel like if I can embrace this role of seeing it's great to get older as a woman and to be proud of it. The truth is I feel more beautiful than ever because I like myself more and I'm proud of my accomplishments.

That's something that I want to share with the world, especially now, and to really honour nature. That's an important message too. And with a spiritual practice, if you cultivate meditation or any kind of mindfulness practice, we get more in touch with our inner life.

And that is eternal. It's a bright burning flame. And when we practice mindfulness and spiritual practices, that flame just gets brighter and brighter. Some of the most bright people I've ever met are people that are in their eighties and nineties. There's a sort of clarity that comes when we've been on the planet a while and we've seen a lot and we withstood the vicissitudes of time.

So be proud, be proud of every moment you've been on this earth. And share it with everybody else. We're here to share and to be of service. Namaste."
